The C.Genial Foundation

Areva, EADS, France Telecom, Schlumberger, Technip and SNCF are among France's largest corporations, employing thousands of engineers in the area of energy, transportation and telecommunications. Along with the French Ministry of Research, these companies are the founding partners of The C. Genial Foundation, created in 2006 to promote science, engineering and technology among high school students.

C. Génial promotes science studies to young people, seeks to encourage a better understanding of science and a positive attitude towards careers in science, engineering and technology, and aims to increase the numbers of students enrolled in middle- and high-school science programs.

The Foundation organizes encounters between engineers, teachers and students, in the classroom and at corporate headquarters. This key program initiative highlights links between class subject matter, science in the economy and careers in scientific fields.
